A Trip to the 13 Colonies

Last Labor Day weekend, after spending another stifling hot summer in Texas, we decided to finally put together the trip we had been wanting to make with our family for several years: Road Trip to the 13 Colonies.  We would have plenty of time to plan, organize, and find other people´s experiences to help us shape our journey into the best of trips.  After months of looking for information, we couldn´t find an itinerary or gist of a plan that would cover all 13 colonies.  Local tours abounded, but nothing that could help us decide where and how to start.  We had to start from scratch.
This Blog is our attempt, as a family, at putting together a trip so that you, and whomever you plan to travel with, have a place to start.  Look over our itinerary, choose each state (labeled individually for easier access), read reviews from each participant of the trip, and then pick and choose what you would like to experience. Our authors include teenagers, adults, and a child so that you can appreciate all types of perspectives on the different activities we have chosen to do.  As a disclaimer, remember we have started with barely nothing. The only things we used to guide our decisions were lists of  "things to do" in different cities and a map of the 13 colonies! So as we go along, we will let you know what things are worth the trip, which things to avoid, what was preferred by each member of the family, and even what things we missed out on that would be good places to visit at another time.
Join us as we travel to the 13 Colonies.
